ABOUT OUR ITALIAN FAMILY RESTAURANTS IN VICTORIA
Dimitri Mavrikos and his two brothers, Steve and George, came to Victoria from Vancouver with the dream of opening their restaurant. Their goal was to open a restaurant that not only offers excellent food but great service and a fun casual atmosphere as well. They wanted a place that felt like home, and so in the summer of 1974, Romeo's was established.
Their primary focus was on creating signature pizzas and pasta from unique recipes and techniques that had been passed down to the family for generations. It was these staples that propelled Romeo’s to popularity and helped create a passionate local following throughout Victoria.
The menus included a variety of popular local dishes, such as steaks, chicken, veal, burgers, and salads, as well as many original dishes from their homeland, Greece. Over the years, our chefs have updated and improved all our dishes based on our customers’ feedback while keeping the original ethos of fabulous flavour and comfort food at the core. THE STORY OF ROMEO’S
Our family restaurant Romeo's first opened on Hillside Avenue and was warmly embraced by the people of Victoria. It was an instant success, and very shortly after, we opened a second location downtown on Johnson Street. This location proved to be popular for lunch and dinner and is still remembered fondly for the fun-filled late-night meals and crowds. In the years that followed, the Mavrikos brothers branched out and opened more locations on Vancouver Island by adhering to the same philosophy that had brought them success in the beginning. With the help of their growing young families and new franchisees Nick & Chris Kamaretsos, the company has grown into what it is today. Over the past 50 years, we have strived to offer our guests authentic Italian cuisine in a welcoming environment. We feel honoured to have served our loyal customers for such a long time and look forward to continuing to do so for many years to come.

OUR LOCATIONS
It is also an exciting time for Romeo's family as we transition into the next chapter by opening up new and remodelled restaurants.

We relocated our restaurant to the Broadmead Village Centre, adjacent to the breezeway mall, in 2014. Our venue is suitable for groups of any size and offers numerous large TVs for sports fans to enjoy. We strive to create a hospitable and welcoming ambiance for all our guests.
Romeo's restaurant, located in Hillside, has been serving customers since 1974, and it's strategically situated near the mall for easy accessibility. We have been nominated several times as the best pizza place in Victoria in the last 50 years. Our dining room has recently undergone extensive renovations, and we can now comfortably accommodate large groups of 30-60 people. We also offer free parking to all our customers.
Our Langford location in Westshore Town Centre boasts a contemporary ambiance and can cater to small and large group reservations. It also has a lovely patio perfect for enjoying the beautiful summer weather. Romeo's has been operating in this location since 1982 and has recently undergone renovations, resulting in a modern look and a brand new bar, adding to the pleasant atmosphere.

Since the late '70s, Romeo's has served mouthwatering pizzas and genuine Italian food in Duncan. Situated conveniently off the highway, our eatery is the perfect place for locals and travellers to relax and savour delicious cuisine.
