For those of you who have missed dining-in during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is good news: Romeo's restaurant in Victoria, B.C. is able to serve their patrons once again!
To adapt to the new normal, all of our locations are complying entirely with the Provincial Health Order. Read on to see what extra steps we're taking to keep our customers and employees safe.
LIMITED CAPACITY
No more than 6 guests are allowed per party for dining-in. Tables have been removed to allow for proper physical distancing between parties and our restaurant capacity has been reduced to 50 – 60%.
REQUIRED MASKS
Both front-of-house and back-of-house staff are provided with masks that they are required to wear throughout their shift. Customers are encouraged to wear masks until seated.
EMPLOYEE MONITORING
Employees participate in regular restaurant safety training to help keep guests healthy. In addition, before each shift, employees are required to have their temperature checked.
Employees are also are required to complete a brief questionnaire on the status of their health. If an employee is unwell or has been in contact with someone who is at risk, they will not work the shift to ensure restaurant safety.
ADDITIONAL CLEANING AND SAFETY MEASURES
Washrooms will be sanitized on a regular schedule. In addition to that, debit machines, countertops, door handles, tables, chairs, and other high-touch surfaces will be cleaned after each use. Touchless payment will also be available to further minimize risks.
CONTACT TRACING
One customer per party will be required to give their name and phone number for contact tracing. This information will be held for 30 days.
In the event that someone at the restaurant tests positive for COVID-19, the member of your party along with all other customers who have dined that day will be notified with recommendations on further steps.
OTHER WAYS TO ENJOY
Our locations have installed a pick-up window for takeout orders to minimize the number of guests coming into the restaurant. Online ordering is available for both contactless delivery and pick-up.
FOLLOW HEALTH GUIDELINES
If you are feeling unwell, stay home to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19. Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth when in public spaces. Cover your cough or sneeze with your elbow and immediately wash your hands afterward. Stay up to date with the latest recommendations from health officials to keep yourself and those around you safe.
KEEP YOUR HANDS CLEAN
Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands. Wash your hands frequently, especially after sneezing, coughing, or using the bathroom. Be sure to wash thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water. If washing your hands isn't an option, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content to kill any germs.
